I used to never care about politics until I got to college. I never thought about it, never cared about voting. I didn't even want to register to vote because I thought that was how they got you for jury duty. I don't know why I care about it so much now. I hate that I do. It eats me up inside, makes my stomach hurt. It's like I see myself, and the poor and people who have it so much worse than I do. All the people in this country who need help and yet we are spending 1 BILLION dollars a week in Iraq. I feel sick because I feel like no one is helping us. Like the rich keep getting richer, the poor poorer. But that's what God wants us to care about the most! The poor. What can we do to help them. We can pray that God will take care of everything and I know he will but in the mean time people are left sitting here unhappy, sick, poor, angry, cold, did you know that before last April when I finally went to the dentist I hadn't been there for 7 years!!!!! The only reason I saw the doctor was the fact that I had really really bad pain in my chest. I bet there are people who haven't been to the dentist in 10 years maybe 20. Finally I have health and dental insurance but there are still people out there who don't. There are people in our own country who are still homeless or go hungry. When we spend 1 billion a week in another country they don't even have a dollar to buy food. I mean I just can hardly fathom this. It just blows my mind the things that infect peoples thoughts and take over. Take our minds off of what we want and instead clear your head and think about what you would want someone to do for you if you were hungry or sick or needed help. All the other issues don't matter as much. All this crap like "he banned this book at school...bla bla bla. What if they could say he fed these kids at school who had no lunch... If they really want the book they can check it out from the library. Ect....

And finally for every Republican out there that assumes just because I'm a Christian that I must be Republican I totally disagree! All you care about are these two issues- Abortion & Gays. I hate it. The poor, sick, hungry, those are the people we should be helping!!! God says babies will go to Heaven but what about all these people in ours and other countries? The ones that don't know God and won't go to heaven. All the poor, sick, hungry, maybe saying where is God? Seeing all the money we have and knowing we are doing nothing to help them. Also the issues of Gays is not even on my list right now. The economy, education, healthcare, those are things that are on top. Those are things that effect everyone. (unless your ridiculously rich!)
And it says nothing about abortion in the Bible. Yes it says do not kill but then I say to that why do you have the death penalty. Yes a person did something wrong but if you can take do not kill and use it for your abortion issue it should apply to everything. You can't just pick and choose how you like. You are not God. So there you have it. That's why I don't like most Republicans who are in power now and why I am and will be for as long as I can see it definitely a Democrat!
